Call for Papers

The fast-growing network-related applications from users like academic community, military and government agencies have meant not only a high volume of network traffic, but also a more stringent requirements in terms of QoS, security and survivability. Following the success of HPSRN2006 and HPSRN2007, the 2008 International Workshop on High Performance and Highly Survivable Routers and Networks (HPSRN 2008) will be held in March 13-14, 2008, Sendai, Japan. Both keynote speeches from distinguished professors (Chao and Pattavina) and technical presentations are planed for the HPSRN 2008. The scope of this workshop is focused on the design and analysis of future and highly survivable router/switches and networks.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • High performance switches and routers
  • Network security and router security
  • Optical and photonics networks
  • Routing, switching and addressing
  • Network survivability
  • Quality of service control
  • Network coding in both wired and wireless networks
  • Scheduling & resource management
  • Network simulation and measurement
  • Traffic engineering and network management
